What I See From The 'Undisputed' Movie Series
00:03
No matter you are a boxing fan or just a younger who
simply likes some kinds of intense fights with nice kung fu performances,
‘Undisputed’ series is such a great movie that you should give a try. ‘Undisputed’
is an American direct-to-video martial arts film series whose first film released
in 2002 and 2 more sequel films in 2006 (Last Man Standing) and 2010 (Redemption). I am sure you find your good time enjoying bulks of boxing matches along with
the deeper stories behind some outstanding characters of the films.
On The Ring- 'Undisputed' |
After seeing up-till-now 3 installment of ‘Undisputed’,
there are 2 good things that I can see through from the films and I was
wondering if you have the same feeling like me or not.
George 'Ice Man' Chambers in 'Undisputed 2' |
The first thing I learn from ‘Undisputed’ is that
the boxing industry is always with money. The fighters accept to go
up the ring when they are ensured a certain kind of profits (normally money). However,
that is just the ‘universal’ fact of boxing or any other kinds of combat sports
in the world. What I actually found out is that a wealthy gambler with his money
can push a heavy-weight boxing world champion into the miserable situation of
jail facing hatred and discrimination in that small world. These moneyed bosses
(let say boss Gaga, starring Isaac Florentine) are always on the ways seeking
their best fighter of one period of time to ‘make the highest profits at the lowest risk’
by using him as their potential investments.
Isaac Florentine as boss Gaga in 'Undisputed 3' |
One more thing in this film I’ll say ‘We are much
more than what we are up to the right motivation’. In ‘Undisputed 2: Last man
standing’, after falling to Boyka’s flying kicks and bunches, Chambers (MichaelJai White) regained his powers thinking back all the bitters that he had to
suffer, the voices of whom insulting him for no reason. Or just as I remember boss Gaga sayings that he knows Boyka is always the complete fighter in the world, especially
when he is angry. Without enough extrinsic stimulus, Boyka had no way to beat
the wise Colombian fighter with one knee (he got one knee broken in the fight
versus Chambers in the second film).
Flying kick of Yuri Boyka |
Now you’ve been curious about the guy Yuri Boyka I’ve
told about, right? Let’s have a look at my next blog about him and the
coming installment of ‘Undisputed’ featured the saying ‘Boyka is back’.
